History of StoChard Flavors, Inc.
Fred (as founder Fenimore Storch was known to friends) completed his flavorist training while still serving the military during World War II. Back then, pure butter was rationed, and Fred developed numerous formulas designed to enhance, extend or substitute for natural butter. In 1948 he founded Sto-Chard Labs, LLC. Returning to civilian life he continued to develop original formulas and create innovative flavors & products. In 1952 Sto-Chard relocated to Elizabeth, NJ.
In 2004, Sto-Chard Labs, LLC became StoChard Flavors, Inc., owned and operated by long time company associates Donna and Susan Patterson. The expansion of the time tested collection of base products commenced, and now included exciting new products meeting the modern consumer's rapidly changing needs and desires.
In 2006, StoChard Flavors relocated to the present high tech location in Piscataway, NJ. 2007 StoChard launches their exciting new line "Flavors of the Southern Mediterranean"
In August 2007, StoChard Steps forward to ensure their customers' product safety, and opens its first completely "NUT FREE" manufacturing facility in Waterbury, CT Honoring company heritage, Award winning products such as Butter Flavor, based on Fred's original formulas, remain as some of our most popular "signature" flavors.
